About Us

Luxury in the bush

Ndou Safaris is situated in the beautiful Soutpansberg just 60km in driving distance from the Pontdrift border entering Botswana and consist of three neighbouring farms on a total of 13,500ha in the Alldays, Limpopo region of South Africa.
On these farms we have free roaming game including 4 of the big 5.

As part of Ndou Safaris we have the Baobab Lodge that offers basic self-catering facilities. Privately located accommodation with outstanding views comfortably accommodating up to 15 adults.

Luxury in the African Bush

Our 6 spacious rooms varies between 2, 3 and 4 sleeper facilities and feature en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, wardrobes and dresser tables. The rooms are situated next to each other facing the pool area which overlooks a watering hole. Although we do offer game drives, several different species can be seen at the waterhole in front of the lodge including Waterbuck, Impala, Duiker and Warthog.

The lodge also offers a fully equipped communal kitchen, lapa with dining and sitting area, two bar counters, an outside and under roof braai area and a large swimming pool.

At Ndou Safaris we have a variety of game such as Bush pig, Warthog, Duiker, Steenbuck, Klipspringer, Wildebeest, Kudu, Eland, Impala, Gemsbuck, Waterbuck, Blesbuck, Nyala, Zebra, Giraffe, Elephants, Buffalo, Jackal, Hyena, Leopard and free roaming Lion.

Game Drives

Our game drives are 3 hours long and aren’t done in any specific area as we cover all areas over a period of time. Our game drive vehicles can comfortably sit 9 adults so drives should be arranged accordingly depending on the size of the groups. We can’t guarantee specific sightings on any drives.

Fishing

Fishing at Ndou Safaris mainly includes catfish and bream fishing. This activity takes place at any convenient time during the day and will be charged according to the specific needs of the guests.

Bush meals

We offer romantic bush dinners, family bush braai’s, bush lunches and picnics for any occasion. This ensures an extra special breakaway and a personal encounter with nature.

The Ndou Safari Experience

Excellent communication before our arrival ensured that we were well prepared and easily found Ndou Self-Catering. We requested a number of changes to our booking, and these were all quickly and easily arranged. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and pleasantly surprised to find that we had all of the facilities to ourselves - including the huge communal kitchen, thatched braai and dining area, fireplace and swimming pool. We were warned in advance that they will be upgrading the pool and facilities soon, and they offered us an extra night's stay as compensation. The management couple, Rassie and Marlise, were very friendly - and that included Rassie taking a flat tire from my car to town to have it fixed, and then replacing it by himself on his return! We had a lovely time and look forward to seeing the new, upgraded facilities. It is an ideal place for an extended family or group of friends to take up all five rooms and have some private time. Thanks a lot for an enjoyable stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Ndou Self catering. We enjoyed watching the game at the water hole from the house and appreciated the game drive by the Manager Razzie. We also enjoyed the freedom to hike in the park at our own risk It is real tranquillity and peacefulness. The strong point of the self catering lodge is that the waterhole is near by. What an amazing experience. Being so busy in our daily routines and lifes it was absolutely amazing to just sit back and relax for a bit while the kids can still have fun in the swimming pool. The gorgeous views and bush surroundings just adds to the great experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. I can really recommend this place. I loved the neat and very modern facilities. Thanks for a great stay.Will definitely visit again.
